A Bit About Matt

Sometimes he has a beard and sometimes he doesn’t

Matt has worked in the youth and education sectors for 20 years.  Qualifying as a Community and Youth Worker in 1995, he has since worked in a wide variety of settings, including with the homeless community at The Big Issue Ltd, with young people in residential support centres, leading on street based youth work initiatives, and as the Director of wide reaching local youth and community initiatives and as the Operations Director of a national education charity specialising in youth participation and active citizenship, before founding Treetop Training and Education Ltd.

Matt has also sat on numerous working groups and committees, and is interested in a wide-rage of areas, including but not limited to youth and community work, education, training and facilitation, social enterprise, gifted and talented education, game theory, gamification and game-based learning.
